The St. Petersburg Museum of History is conducting a Founding Families History Project. The purpose of this project is to interview families whose forbearers have lived in St. Petersburg from the late 1800s through to 1940.
The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. Conducting interviews and videotaping of Veterans stories while they served. This is part of a national project, and all interviews are held at the National Library in DC, as well as a local copy in the museum archives.
