Happy Hour with the Historian – Black Baseball in Living Color: The Story of the Negro Leagues
Join us Wednesday, Feb 22nd for a special edition of Happy Hour with the Historian: Black Baseball in Living Color: The Story of the Negro Leagues.
Author Jay Caldwell explores the history of the segregated Negro Leagues. Growing up just a few miles from Cooperstown, NY, Caldwell organized the recognition of the Negro Leagues Centennial Team in 2018 and is behind the Negro Leagues Centennial Exhibition. Caldwell commissioned artist Graig Kreindler to paint over 200 portraits of Negro League players, 72 of which are on display at the St. Petersburg Museum of History.
