Eyed by American and Spanish forces alike\, the Floridas were soon engulfed in war. This speaker shares the often-overlooked story of Florida in the War of Independence. \nDavid Head has published four books\, including Privateers of the Americas: Spanish American Privateering from the U.S. in the Early Republic\, The Golden Age of Piracy\, and A Crisis of Peace: George Washington\, the Newburgh Conspiracy\, and the Fate of the American Revolution. \nPresented by Southern Roots Realty\, Happy Hour with the Historian is frequently sold out\, so please purchase tickets in advance.
