NASA astronaut\, artist\, and author Nicole Stott presents The Artistic Astronaut! \nNicole is a veteran NASA Astronaut with two spaceflights and 104 days in space as a crewmember on both the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. An engineer who is also an aquanaut\, Nicole became the first astronaut to paint a watercolor in space. Aboard the final flight of Space Shuttle Discovery\, she carried the actual Benoist pennant that flew on the world’s first airline flight in 1914. \nIn her post-NASA life\, Nicole is a technical and creative consultant\, founding director of the Space for Art Foundation\, and authored Back to Earth: What Life In Space Taught Me About Our Home Planet – And Our Mission To Protect It. \nPresented by Southern Roots Realty\, Happy Hour with the Historian is frequently sold out\, so please purchase tickets in advance.
