The St. Petersburg Museum of History and Southern Roots Realty invites you to join us on Thursday, February 13th for Happy Hour with the Historian! NASA astronaut, artist, and author Nicole Stott presents The Artistic Astronaut!

Nicole is a veteran NASA Astronaut with two spaceflights and 104 days in space as a crewmember on both the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. An engineer who is also an aquanaut, Nicole became the first astronaut to paint a watercolor in space. Aboard the final flight of Space Shuttle Discovery, she carried the actual Benoist pennant that flew on the world’s first airline flight in 1914.

In her post-NASA life, Nicole is a technical and creative consultant, founding director of the Space for Art Foundation, and authored Back to Earth: What Life In Space Taught Me About Our Home Planet – And Our Mission To Protect It.
